Parent's main concern
I am concerned about emotional regulation and I think he goes into hyperfocus with arts and crafts and things that interest him, so I got him on the waitlist for an ADHD assessment. He's currently too young.
Concerns in other areas of development

Family history of speech, language or communication needs
Father has dyslexia and stammer.
Other professionals or carers involved
He has been assessed twice by Waltham Forest SLT. Age 2:6 for speech delay - he had like 4-6 words at 2.5. SLT recommended simple strategies which we were already doing. Once his older sister started school he had a vocab explosion and now has really strong receptive and expressive lang.
Seen again in Aug this year due to poor intelligibility (flagged by nursery). I hadn't been concerned as thought still age appropriate and language was fine, but they flagged not age appropriate. He still sometimes dribbles a little too (when concentrating or tired) so I was a bit concerned about general weakness of articulatory muscles? SLT just focused on K and G and gave simple strategies for at home, but I think there are more sounds he has issues with and she didn't say anything about the dribbling so I want a more thorough assessment to understand if there's more too this than slightly delayed K and G sounds.
